Promotional Products Work Week

May 23 - 27, 2016

What is Promotional Products Work! Week?   This is an initiative started by PPAI (Promotional Products Association International) several years ago.  UMAPP partners with PPAI during the year to bring events, promotions, discounts, and resources to our members as an added benefit.

Promotional Products Work! Week is all about building - and promoting - your business.

This year, PPAI is celebrating "Advertising that Lives On" by focusing attention on the buyers.  This annual event serves as a cornerstone for recognizing the importance of working with promotional products professionals, while creating awareness for promotional products as a powerful and effective marketing and advertising medium.

THE MISSION:  Celebrate the crucial role promotional products and skilled industry professionals like you play in all aspects of advertising, marketing, and business.

THE PURPOSE:  To demonstrate the importance of promotional products as an effective advertising medium and marketing tool, as well as to support you, the promotional products experts, as the best source for designing and implementing creative, successful campaigns.

Every year, we, the collective industry, will celebrate what makes our industry hum.

ePromos Promotional Products participated in PPAI Work Week by volunteering at our local Salvation Army. The group served hot lunches and distributed promotional items to members of the community. The volunteers agreed this was a humbling and enjoyable event.

The St. Cloud, MN Salvation Army serves lunch to 150-200 people every weekday.

UMAPP participated in the LEAD conference in Washington, D.C. AS PART OF ppw!w.

2016 L.E.A.D. CONFERENCE

UMAPP invites several individuals from the Association to represent us at the L.E.A.D. confererence, and some of our members choose to go to the conference on their own, and represent our region.

The PPAI L.E.A.D. is a gathering of PPAI leadership, members and... industry professionals from around the country who come together in Washington, D.C. (in-person and virtually) to educate Congress on industry-critical issues as well as the power, impact and job-generating value of promotional products.

During PPAI L.E.A.D., nearly 78 advocates from 30 states will conduct more than 250 meetings with senators, congressional representatives and their legislative staffs on Capitol Hill; thousands of promotional products professionals from around the U.S. advocate on a host of issues by writing letters, emails and social media posts focusing on the importance of pending legislation and issues relevant to the promotional products
Entrepreneurship.

Thank you to Dave Malek (Edwards Garment and UMAPP's Treasurer), Devin Martin (Advance Corporation and GRC Committee Member, and Sandy Nichols (Brown & Bigelow and GRC Committee Member) for attending the 2016 LEAD Conference on behalf of UMAPP.
